SO...I'm usually not too interested in things like this, but from what I can tell, this seems to be a pretty good deal. As such, I thought I would share what I've found out, especially since it can benefit both you AND me. :-)

Search & Win

I recently registered on a site called SwagBucks. It's a search engine (like Google) that rewards you for using it. As you search for things on the Internet, you are occasionally rewarded with swag bucks (usually 1-2 at a time) that you can accumulate and use toward buying things from the Swag Store. To me it seems like the tickets you win in arcades that you can trade-in for goodies. The Swag Store actually has some pretty cool things -- game systems, gift cards, airline miles, etc.

There a few different ways to earn swag bucks. One is by using the search engine for your normal stuff. Other ways are to find swag codes (I'm still working on trying to figure that one out) or trade in old cell phones. You can also earn bucks by referring others. As best I can tell, if you refer someone else, both you and that person get credit for bucks that they earn.

If you are interested, check it out and set up your own account. You can use this link, which will set you up as someone I referred:

Just tell 'em that Meredith sent you. :-)

Pearce Hovenkamp!
Travel Kitty

For my birthday, my friend Diana got me my own Travel Kitty to travel with. I've taken several trips with her kitty Smoochacha and always had a blast (see here and here). Now, Smoochacha has a friend to hang out and swap stories with.

Catching Up

Whew! What a crazy week it's been! This week....

I turned 29,
Birthday lunch Mmm, cupcakes!

I finally finished organizing my coupons,

(Before & After)

I dragged Dave to the ballet,
Before the Ballet Before the Ballet
(He was a really good sport about it, but I suspect that it may have been Dave's first AND last trip to the ballet!)

And we opened up "Spa Sadie."
Maybe it's not too bad... I could get used to this...
